What is Airsoft?

One of the most frequently asked questions we hear... is what is Airsoft?

Airsoft is a sport/hobby that was originated in Japan in the early 1980’s. It started off as a civilian training tool because guns were outlawed in Japan. Airsoft is similar to paintball but instead Airsoft replicas fire 6 mm plastic bbs at the players instead of paint. This change in technology allows us to have more realistic looking Airsoft guns and more accurate ones. While the bb doesn’t have the ability to mark a player when hit. The size of the BB allows for way farther and more accurate shots.
Airsoft can be played both indoor in a CQB setting or outdoor in a more dispersed setting. Whether you’re playing outdoor or indoor, though, there is lists of fun game modes to play such as team death match, capture the flag, hard-point, and other fun game modes.

When thinking about what is Airsoft it's important to remember that Airsoft is an honor, sport and paint doesn’t mark th players like it does in paintball. This promotes an environment where people are allowed to do all kinds of creative things with the stuff they wear. The list is endless about how you could dress for Airsoft, you have a lot of control and could dress in a WW1,WW2,Cold War, Vietnam, modern, police, sci-fi, and even an apocalyptic load-out. And the best part is you can do any country from any conflict or any character from any movie or show as long as you don’t forget you'r eye pro.

Another big thing that sets Airsoft apart is replicas and upgrade ability. In Airsoft almost every replica has been brought to life. You can get your favorite modern weapons from this age and your favorite antique or even sci-fi replicas. Also most Airsoft guns can be modified to your own personal specs, giving you the ability to craft your own perfect Airsoft gun how you see fit with the modifications you require. If you are interested in playing Airsoft or trying it, make sure you go to your local field get a rental package a couple times see if you like it before buying expensive guns and gear you might not need. if you have a friend that plays Airsoft see if they’ll let you borrow some equipment.
